On 5th October 2024, British Railways steam locomotive 70000 Britannia passed through Wandsworth Road station in London hauling the Golden Arrow.
Before the Channel Tunnel was built, the Golden Arrow was a luxury boat train from London to Dover and was possibly unique in having a Union Flag and French Tricolour on the buffer beam showing it was a connection to France, connecting with the cross channel ferries.
On the 5th October 2024, the train, run by Saphos Trains, departed Norwich at 06:03 and reached Canterbury at 12:52, having passed through Wandsworth Road at 10:46.
