To mark the 150th birthday of “Poplar”, the locomotive came to London for local children to see a real life steam engine and climb on board.
Steam Locomotive 45596 “Bahamas” Leaving Paddington
On Saturday 22nd July, LMS Jubilee class 45596 “Bahamas” in BR livery had an early start leaving London Paddington with The Railway Touring Company’s “The West Somerset Steam Express” at 07:00.
A couple of minutes later, the steam locomotive passed under Ranelagh Bridge powering its train past Royal Oak London Underground station heading West.
