The 17th century Götheborg of Sweden, the world’s largest ocean-going wooden sailing ship, visited London in August 2022.
NAO Santa Maria Moors In St Katherines Docks
NAO Santa Maria, a replica of Christopher Columbus’ sailing ship, sailed into London, passing up and downstream through Tower Bridge before entering St Katherine Docks where it was to be based for a few days.
The pictures were taken around 05:30 in the morning which explains why there are no people in the pictures. I was hoping for the sun to not be hidden buy cloud, but that was not to be. SunCalc showed the sun would light up the starboard (right) side of the Santa Maria through a gap in the trees, but the sun was obscured by cloud at the vital (for this picture) time.
