Lloyd’s of London
Lloyd’s of London, known normally as just Lloyd’s, is a market for insurance and reinsurance market in the City of London and housed in an iconic building designed by Norman Foster.
Whilst working in the modern world, it is steeped in tradition, the best known of which is the Lutine Bell which is rung on receiving bad news about ships lost or overdue. Within the building, on one of the upper floors, is the Adam Room, a painstaking reconstruction of a dining room moved from an English stately home.
